Two More Arrests Related to Connected Avon Burglaries

The burglaries took place on East Woodhaven Drive and Sylvan Street, police said. The following arrest information was provided by the Avon Police Department and does not indicate convictions.

Police made two more juvenile arrests at 3:07 p.m. on Aug. 15 related to two burglaries on East Woodhaven Drive and Sylvan Street.

The burglaries are connected, Avon Police Chief Mark Rinaldo said Tuesday.

That makes three total arrests for each burglary thus far. Like the other two juveniles arrested for East Woodhaven Drive, the third juvenile, listed under the same case number, was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny.The individual was held at the and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 16. The juveniles were sent to detention as ordered by the court, Rinaldo said.

A third juvenile was also arrested in connection to the Sylvan Street burglary, as the case number was the same. The individual was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, which are the same charges as the other two people arrested last week. The person was held at the police department and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 16.

All charges for both incidents are Class D felonies.

It is not clear at this time whether the two arrests were the same person and whether the total arrests for both incidents involved three or more people.

Rinaldo also said that a bicycle was stolen in July from outside a home on Brookmoore Road in Avon. He said that the larceny incident was connected to the burglaries on East Woodhaven Drive and Sylvan Street.

The incidents remain under investigation, Rinaldo said. Police are not releasing information on the nature of the burglaries and larcenies at this time. The police department also does not disclose the names and ages of juveniles arrested. Juvenile court cases are sealed.
