AAA Announces 2014 Four Diamond Restaurant and Lodging Awards
Ten area restaurants, hotels earn AAA Four Diamond distinction
A total of ten outstanding restaurants and hotels in Greater Hartford and eastern Connecticut have earned the coveted AAA Four Diamond Award for 2014. ON20 in downtown Hartford is new to the restaurant list this year. Saybrook Point Inn & Spa in Old Saybrook and Mohegan Sun in Uncasville share the distinction as Connecticut’s longest-honored AAA Four Diamond recipients; both have been honored with Four Diamond status since 2002.
For 2014, the 2,277 Four Diamond winners (1,548 hotels and 729 restaurants) include the following local establishments:

Collectively visiting some 1,200 hotels and restaurants every week, AAA inspectors are in a unique position to identify emerging trends in the hospitality industry. Inspectors have observed hotels and restaurants using increasingly personalized approaches to enhance guest comfort and satisfaction.
AAA rates more properties than any other rating entity, covering the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. AAA offers the only ratings based on professional, on-site evaluations using published guidelines weighted by member priorities.
