Uberbots Bake-Sale A Success at Avon High

The Avon Robotics team runs a successful bake sale duing school at Avon High to raise money for the upcoming build season.

Keeping the team afloat seems to be a never ending effort for the UberBots. One group of kids spends a lot of time brainstorming ideas and scheduling events. For example, last week they held a bake sale for students at Avon High School. Team members provided both homemade and purchased food items, such as cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and even spring rolls. The student took turns manning the table during their open and free periods. By the end of the day, the UberBots fed many a teenager and raised over $150 in the process. It may not appear to be a substantial amount, but every penny helps. All of the students are extremely dedicated and great benefits come from their hard work.

And while we are on the topic of fundraisers, Friday December 21st is another UberBots event at Cosi in Avon. A portion of all sales from 3-9 pm will be donated to the team. Whether you’re superstitious or not, come celebrate December 21st, the “end of the world”, at Cosi, and support the Avon Robotics Team.
