NFIB Cites Roraback’s Strong Record on Small Business Issues; Chamber Says Roraback Will Create More Jobs, Get Country Back on Track

Andrew Roraback today announced that his campaign for Congress has been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), the country’s leading advocate for small business owners, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world’s largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organizations.

“At no other time in our nation’s history has it been more critical that Members of Congress provide leadership that protects and advances the interests of the business community,” said Rob Engstrom, the U.S. Chamber’s senior vice president and national political director. “Andrew’s election to Congress will help produce sustained economic growth, create more jobs, and get our country back on track. Andrew’s record of support on pro-business issues has earned this endorsement.”

“Andrew Roraback has been doing big things for small business in Connecticut and our members can count on him to fight for their interests in Washington,” said Lisa Goeas, NFIB Vice President of Political and Grassroots.

“He’s committed to the same goals that our members share, which include lower taxes, fewer federal regulations and some long-overdue controls on federal spending,” said Goeas. “He’ll be a strong voice in Washington for the kind of reforms that small business owners strongly support.”
NFIB State Director Andrew Markowski said, “Connecticut is a difficult place for small businesses, but they’ve always been able to count on Andrew Roraback to fight for their interests. He knows that we have to reform the health care system, but he knows that the best way to do that is to put consumers in control.”

“I am proud to be endorsed by two groups who work tirelessly and effectively to promote a better business climate and create jobs,” Andrew Roraback said. “Government needs strong partners, and the U.S. Chamber and NFIB are invaluable partners who understand what businesses need to succeed and what our country needs to reinvigorate an economy that is still underperforming and not creating the employment opportunities we need.”

Both NFIB and the Chamber said they will encourage their members in Connecticut to help turn out the pro-jobs vote for Andrew Roraback on Election Day.
