Robinson also owns a large construction company, C&R Development, airport businesses and a downtown parking area, R&G Services and R&G Businesses. He went from spending a night on a Bushnell Park bench in 1958 to winning the Scroll of Merit Award from the National Medical Association and the Rosa Parks Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. In 2010 and 2011, he also received the Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver Humanitarian and Leadership awards from Tuskegee University. Curtis Robinson’s current projects include a hotel, casino, and championship golf course project in St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
