Jonathon Rosow Wins Third National Rowing Championship

Jonathon Rosow, a senior at (far left in the photo) and his teammates in the 4x (quadruple sculls) from New Canaan Crew Club capped off an undefeated season and won the U.S. Rowing Youth National Championships on Sunday June 10 at Lake Melton in Oak Ridge, TN. 

This is Rosow’s third national championship and the third in the row for New Canaan’s 4x.  This  year’s regatta had over 1,500 athletes (comprising 360 crews from 158 clubs across the country) competing in 18 boat classes.

The winning team consisted of: Jonathon Rosow, Captain (Avon High School),  Alex Buck (Greenwich High School) , Volodomyr “Vlad” Opalnyk (Coach, New Canaan Crew Club), Graham Mink (St. Lukes School) and Peter Tortora (Fairfield Prep).
