Avon High School 50th Anniversary Track Meet & Celebration
Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 2 pm @ Avon High School

Help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Avon High School track & field. Come watch the current boys and girls teams compete in a special non-league meet against Lewis Mills. Both teams are experiencing strong seasons, especially the girls team, which is 23-2 in the last two seasons and should contend for the 2012 league title.

Tentative Schedule of Special Events
* Open One Mile Run: for alumni, their families, coaches, teachers, etc. Basically for anyone not currently in high school. You can race, jog or even walk. There is a $10 "entry fee" with all proceeds going directly to the Booster Club for the track team. The Mile Run will begin around 3 pm.

*Dedication of record boards depicting all former league and state champions

*Recognition of any past league or state champions present directly before that event is contested

*Coaches Relay: for entertainment purposes--see if the Avon coaches can best their Lewis Mills counterparts!

*BBQ to follow the meet. Nothing fancy but a chance to catch up with friends and talk to current athletes

Thanks for everyone involved with Avon Track, past and present...we hope to see you all there!
