Miller Foods, Mitchell Auto Group, Lite 100.5 WRCH help meet Foodshare's turkey goal

Good news from Foodshare: The turkey goal for Thanksgiving has now been met! The folks in this picture did their part Nov. 14 at Miller Foods in Avon during the annual Jack Bannan Turkey Trot, a one-day drive for the main entree, non-perishables and cash. Lite 100.5 FM WRCH made announcements all day about the drive, and on-air personalities greeted those who stopped by Miller Foods to make donations. Foodshare is still short of cash in the food bank’s annual Turkey and Thirty Campaign, which runs through the end of November. This money is needed to sustain Foodshare’s year-round work, helping 128,000 hungry residents living in Greater Hartford. Donations can be made in person, online, or through the mail.
