Republicans Invite Residents to Meet the Candidates

The Republican Town Committees from Avon, Canton, Farmington and Simsbury invite residents to stop by the Avon Senior Center at 635 West Avon Rd. between 9 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, for coffee and donuts with the Republican candidates for U.S. Senate, U.S. House-5th District, State Senate and State House of Representatives.

The event is open to the public and various door prize drawings will be conducted. All Republican candidates qualified to primary plus those unopposed for the general election have been invited to attend the event.

The primary to determine which candidates will appear on the November ballot will take place on Aug. 14.

"This election is critically important to determine the direction our country and state will take” said Brian Ladouceur, Jr., chair of the Avon Republican Town Committee.  “I hope all voters will stop in to meet our candidates and discuss one-on-one how they will work to improve the economy, grow jobs, address healthcare concerns or any other issue important to you and your family.”

But here's the irony...Obama's not the problem. The real problem is that people like you, Liz, will be around long after Obama's term as president is over. If people like you could be duped into voting for someone like Obama twice, it could happen again and again. I pray that this country will wake up soon and realize the horrific mistake that it's made and get this great nation back on a path to freedom and opportunity. If people like you, Liz, continue to prevail, then I pray for my children's future, for it will truly be bleak…
