Hill-Stead Museum hosts annual Holiday Boutique December 7 & 8

There is no reason to fight traffic and packed malls when you can get all of your holiday shopping done at Hill-Stead Museum’s Holiday Boutique!

Hill-Stead presents its popular Holiday Boutique in the Makeshift Theater on  December 7 & 8, 10 a.m.– 4 p.m. Visitors will enjoy browsing 25 artists and crafters displaying unique gifts, including designer clothing, fine art and antiques, home accessories and bath products, one-of-a-kind jewelry, and sweet & savory treats. Delicious soups and desserts sold by Tallulah’s Catering will tempt even the most intent shopper to take a refreshment break. Admission to the boutique is free.

Hill-Stead is thrilled to welcome the following vendors to the 2013 Holiday Boutique : Alfibags, As the Wood Turns, Barefoot Books, Capi Di Roma, Cheryl Davis Fine Art, Clatter Ridge Farm, DDJ Designs, D. Wilson Art Design and Pottery, Ellen K. Stiles – Painter, Kate Stephen Jewelry, LaDeDah!, One Legged Crow, Passports, Quilibet, Savoir Faire Hats, Scrap Felt, Stix and Stones, Sweet Mavenes, Swift Farms, The Olive Oil Factory, The Silk Road, Two B’s Accessories, Winding Drive James, and Twisted Cones.

On Sunday, December 8 from noon-4 p.m., Hill-Stead will also hold its annual Meet the Family holiday event. You’ll feel like an invited guest when you tour the country house, decorated for the holidays. Museum interpreters portray members of the Hill-Stead family, including Theodate herself, their household staff and such illustrious visitors as novelist Grace Flandreau. Free to members or with museum admission.
