Roaring Brook School Vice Principal gets haircut for a cause

On Thursday May 30th, Roaring Brook Vice Principal Lawrence Sparks received his summer haircut in front of the entire student body. This was the culminating activity in the latest fundraising project by the RBS Student Council. The "Pennies for a Pal" project had RBS students performing a variety of household chores, collecting loose change and recycling bottles for coins. The money collected was given to an RBS student, and an AMS student both of whom are undergoing treatment for health issues. Some of the proceeds also went to the community of Moore, Oklahoma that was recently devastated by an F4 tornado. The school community was able to raise approximately $700 dollars with the help of Mr. Sparks. His willingness to undergo his new summer cut in front of the RBS students and Staff made this latest fundraiser the  biggest yet. Dr. Crisanne Colgan was the hairstylist which provided much joy to students and staff alike.
