Rotary's Tastes-of-the-Valley is March 22

Tickets are still available for the Rotary Club of Avon-Canton’s 2014 Tastes-of-the-Valley fundraiser, set for Saturday, March 22 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Tower Ridge Country Club, 140 Nod Road, Simsbury.

The event offers samplings of wine from M&R Liquors and Lost Acres Vineyard, Back East Brewery craft beers, Hickory Ledges Full Moonshine, premium spirits brands Patron tequila and Tanduay Asian Rum, and culinary creations from some of the area’s best restaurants. Music for listening and dancing will be performed by The Colbys, a husband and wife duo who live in Avon.

The ticket price is $50 per person or $75 per person for a VIP ticket, which entitles the holder to attend a separate 6 to 7:30 p.m. tasting featuring upscale fine wines from M&R Liquors, appetizers, and the music of Christopher Ladd, a visiting professor at The Hartt School-University of Hartford and director of The Hartt School Guitar Festival.
