Say NO to Rachel's Challenge

I am so very sad to hear that Rachel's Challenge is being viewed or has been viewed in Connecticut. To many parents it sounds like an easy and effective way to teach kindness but if they watched the video they might see that it actually brings up the topic of violence related to the Columbine shooting in a way that kids are fascinated by the act of violence.  There are so many other videos the kids could watch that portray the effective behavior of kindness awareness and this is not one of them. I am from a Midwestern state and I've been advocating against this video running in schools for quite some time.  I would like for the producers of Rachel's Challenge to publicly list the schools and districts they have visited as they claim that they have reduced violence and I think this is a false claim.  Also, I would like to investigate the amount of interest in the columbine shooting being initiated by the viewing of this video in school and last I would like to know who is giving the free money in the form of grants that allow this video to be seen in schools.  We have movie ratings for our public theatres perhaps its time to make video ratings for out lunch and auditorium rooms.
