Rummage Sale at Avon Congregational Church, April 12-13, 2013

The Avon Congregational Church’s legendary 30th Annual Rummage Sale promises to have treasures for everyone! The popular sale is Friday, April 12 (6 p.m. - 9 p.m.) and Saturday April 13, (9 a.m. – 1 p.m). All are welcome. On Friday, April 12, admission is $5 from 6 p.m.–7 p.m., and then $2. On Sat. April 13, admission is $1 and items are half-price.  

          The Rummage Sale features quality items and unbeatable prices: furniture, jewelry, toys, collectibles, house wares, books, Christmas, and more (no clothing). You may find antiques among the tables stocked high with bargains. The Sale is known throughout the Farmington Valley for variety, quality, and tidy arrangement. 

          Time to clean out? Donations of items in good condition are appreciated. Drop off  Sunday April  7 (12 p.m. – 3 p.m.), Monday - Wednesday, April 8-10, (9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.), or call the church at 678-0488 for pick up. Those dropping off items on Sunday afternoon will have help unloading from church youth. Please group similar items and label them for the Kitchen, Toys, Books, Linens, Furniture, Electronics/Table Top Appliances, Crafts, Holiday Decorations, White Elephants, Jewelry, Sporting Goods, Lawn & Garden, and Special Treasures. NOT ACCEPTED: clothing, TV’s, large appliances, large exercise equipment, tires, cassettes or VHS tapes, mattresses, or computers, and (unless new) sofas.

          For donors of items that wish a tax-deduction form, the church has those available at drop-off. All proceeds from the Rummage Sale benefit the programs and operations of the Avon Congregational Church, 6 West Main Street, Avon, at the corner of Routes 44 and 10.
