Avon Day Schedule, Vendors and Booths

Although there is an 80 percent chance of rain Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, Avon Day will go on as scheduled Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at .

Here is the schedule and a list of the businesses and non-profits that will be there.

MAIN EVENTS SCHEDULE

• 11 a.m.: Gates open
• 12 p.m.: Fire extinguisher demonstration, Raffle drawings begin
• 12:30 p.m.: Karate demonstration, Avon Kempo & Alkido Academy
  
• 1 p.m.: Jazzercize demo
  
• 1:30 p.m.: Ski Sundown activities start
  
• 2 p.m.: Opening Ceremonies, cutting of 30th anniversary cake, recognition of 2011 Avon UNICO Citizen of the Year Bob Breckinridge
• 2:30 p.m.: Avon High School robotics team
  
• 3 p.m.: High school band Dingo and the Tree Meisters, of Paul Howard's Valley Music School, perform
  
• 3:30 p.m.: Middle school rock band The Nameless performs
  
• 4 p.m.: Middle school rock band The Direction performs
  
• 4:30 p.m.: Finals of Ski Sundown activities
  
• 5 p.m.: Pie eating contest

ADDITIONAL EVENTS

Attendees will need to buy tokens ($1 each) for the following events and activities:

• REMAX will be there late afternoon offering hot air balloon rides  (costs three tokens).
• Suffield’s Roaming Railroad will be running Thomas the Tank Engine rides all day (costs three tokens).
• The Gamers' Box (two tokens)
• Inflatables (two tokens)
