Avon Little League Opening Weekend

April showers bring May flowers, but over the coming days in April that it's not raining, nearly 500 Avon residents will kickoff their baseball and softball seasons. While games start April 22nd, Avon Little League will kickstart the new season in style, hosting a 2-day celebration on April 27th and 28th . There will be games across all age groups and divisions combined with fun and excitement for all at Sperry Park. All weekend we will unveil new merchandise and launch a season long raffle to support Hunter Miller, a former Avon Little Leaguer, and his family as they deal with the challenges of cancer. Hunter is fighting like no other 13 year old could, and a series of great raffle prizes including box seats at Yankee Stadium and one of a kind signed memorabilia from sports stars Cal Ripken, Charles Barkley, and Dan Marino has all been donated to raise funds for Hunter and his family.
