Avon Residents Communicate through Social Media During Power Outage

With the power out and phone lines and internet down, many are turning to Facebook and Twitter to get their news and communicate.

•  Eva Gabler was wondering if mail is still being delivered. Avon mail has already been delivered today, according to the post office, and they will likely be delivering tomorrow too.

• Jenna Hath Ryan, Tuesday: "I got mail today because I happened to be shoveling around the tree that we have to walk over to get anywhere. I helped her to deliver to the other 5 houses that I could walk to but that she couldn't get to. While knocking on doors, I saw her walking to peoples' houses too. What's their motto? Something about rain, snow or whatnot? Fitting."
