Avon Land Trust Fall Hike

The Avon Land Trust hosts its annual Fall Hike along its own beautiful Skyline Trail to the peak of Talcott Mountain. The hike is 2+ miles each way, with some moderately steep portions, and offers breathtaking ridge views.  Hikers can join in the fun at the top, where the Heublein ‘Tower Toot’ festival will be underway, and enjoy refreshments, courtesy of the land trust, back down at the bottom.

Avon hikers and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to attend. Hikers should be in good health, and dressed in shoes with thick, treaded soles.  Leashed dogs are welcome. ALT leaders and hike participants will meet at 1:00 p.m. on Hazen Road, off of Woodford Hills Rd.  Please park on the right.

Raindate is Sunday, October 16th.
