First Snow Settles in Avon After Early November Nor'easter

Upload your storm photos to our gallery.

Avon had it's first snowfall of the year as an early November Nor'easter blew through town a week and a half since Hurricane Sandy.

After-school and evening activities were canceled Wednesday and Avon school openings were delayed Thursday due to the snow.

Eastbound lanes at the bottom of Avon Mountain were closed Wednesday evening due to several disabled motor vehicles at the base as snow accumulated.

The retirement party for Avon Free Public Library Director Virginia Vocelli was postponed from Wednesday to Thursday night due to the weather.

How did the storm affect you and what did you do during the first snowfall? Did you take pictures? Peruse our gallery and upload your own photos? You can add videos too!
