Foodie Films at Avon Library Start Friday

First screening is Friday at 1.30pm

From this Friday through August Avon Public Library will be hosting regular screenings of food-themed films, open to all.

The season kicks off with “Julie and Julia,” written and directed by Nora Ephron and starring Meryl Streep. The film tells the dual stories of Julia Child's story of her start in the cooking profession and blogger Julie Powell's 2002 challenge to cook all the recipes in Child's first book.

The screening will take place in the Community Room, and there is no need to register before heading down. Snacks will be provided in case the film piques your hunger!

More information can be found on the Avon Public Library website.
