Meet Four Authors at Avon Library, July 15

At the event Tuesday attendees can chat with authors Cori Lynn Arnold, Steve Liskow, Carole Shmurak and Chuck Miceli.

On Tuesday July 15, four authors will come to Avon Free Public Library for the Mystery Author Night

From 7 p.m. there will be presentations from each writer and the opportunity to purchase books and chat with the authors.

  • Cori Lynn Arnold Scalding Deceit
    After a short reading from her new novel, Scalding Deceit, - a book Kirkus Review says "...the characters and relationships are what standout." Cori Lynn Arnold will discuss the fun and foibles of self publishing.
  • Steve Liskow Postcards of the Hanging
    Steve Liskow often uses real events for inspiration, but experience has taught him that the truth can derail a good story. By discussing his own hard lessons, he’ll show how changing the facts can make better fiction
  • Carole Shmurak Most Likely to Murder
    Carole Shmurak usually sets her Susan Lombardi mysteries in fictionalized versions of Avon, Farmington and New Britain. She’ll explain why she took Susan back to New Jersey for a high school reunion in her latest book, Most Likely to Murder.
  • Chuck Miceli Amanda’s Room
    What makes a "page turner" and how do mystery writers catch and hold their reader's interest? Chuck Miceli will provide insight into the psychology of the mystery and illustrate some tricks of the trade used in popular novels and in his own paranormal thriller, Amanda's Room.
