Avon had its first snowfall of 2012 this week and more snow is expected early Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Accumulation of 3 to 6 inches is probable, according to the weather service's website.

Because the ground is already cold, the National Weather Service expects snow will build up quickly, so traveler's should allow extra time when venturing out because surfaces might be slippery.
