Book Launch Party for "New England's Historic Homes & Gardens"

The Farmington Valley Arts Center (FVAC) hosts a Book Launch Party for Connecticut author Kim Knox Beckius's seventh book, "New England’s Historic Homes & Gardens." Complimentary refreshments will be served, and proceeds from the sale of autographed copies of the book will go toward maintenance and repair of the FVAC's historic buildings.

Published by Boston-based Union Park Press and featuring full-color photography by William H. Johnson, "New England’s Historic Homes & Gardens" features the region's 36 most important, influential, and picturesque homes, from the earliest homesteads of the 1600s through the Gilded Age mansions of the early twentieth century, with a focus on the human dramas that unfolded within their walls. Beckius, who lives in Avon and serves as the FVAC's publicist, has spent more than 13 years inspiring travelers through her books and online, where she has produced About.com's New England Travel site, GoNewEngland.about.com, since 1998.
