Market Street Theater Presents Women Aloud and A Tennessee Parody

COLLINSVILLE – Market Street Theater will present Women Aloud and A Tennessee Parody, two weekends of staged readings on October 14, 15, 21 and 22.

October 14 and 15 will feature Women Aloud, original works by Conn. playwrights Jenny Lecce (Middletown), Jean-Ann Wertz (Middletown) and Terri Klein (Cromwell), who give voice to strong women, shy women, funny and wise women. “Fly Fishing in Tribeca” by Lecce, “White Ashes (a Noh-inspired play)” by Wertz and “Six Unforgettable Women” by Klein will be presented.

 

October 21 and 22 will feature a staged reading of “The Glass Mendacity”, a Tennessee Williams parody by Maureen Morley and Tom Willmorth and directed by Angie Joachim (Canton).

 

Tickets are $5 per show or two shows for $8 and may be purchased at the door or reserved at marketstreettheater@yahoo.com.   Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for the 8:00 performances, which will be held at Market Street Theater, Canton Town Hall Auditorium, 4 Market Street, Collinsville.
