Avon Booster Club Presents its first S.C.O.R.E. Awards

At its first meeting of 2014 last week, the Avon Booster Club Executive Board announced its first two S.C.O.R.E. award winners: Terri Ziemnicki, AHS Field Hockey Head Coach, and her assistant, Cathy Creasey.

Unveiled at the club's December meeting, the S. C. O. R. E. award (Special COaches’ REcognition) is a new program designed to help AHS student-athletes, their families, and other sports fans, formally recognize excellence in coaching. Awards may be purchased in increments of $25 through the Booster Club. Recipients receive an official award certificate and are formally recognized at the monthly Booster Club meeting and through the Booster Club PR office.  Award money can be applied to the Booster Club General Fund or to a specific team’s account, as desired by the donor.

Coaches Ziemnicki and Creasey were recognized anonymously by the grateful family of one of their players.  Congratulations to the two coaches!
