In-Network vs Out-Of-Network Dentist

Why should you see an in-network dentist?

Everyone uses different criteria to select a new dentist.  But, is your insurance company's network part of your check list?  You may wonder "how does it impact me and why should I care?"  Paying attention to whether or not your dentist is in-network is an excellent was to save, or at the very least avoid paying more then what's necessary.

What is a Network

Your insurer has identified a group of dentists who are "in-network" and has contracted with these dentists on your behalf to get services at a reduced rate.  The primary advantage of using an in-network dentist is that you receive this reduced rate for their services, and your insurance generally picks up a larger portion of the bill than with an out-of-network provider.  This generally results in you paying a lower copay.  We at Avon Center Dentistry participate with most insurance networks.  Give us a call today to schedule your appointment!  860-404-5494
