Avon Residents Excel on Nationwide Tests

(West Hartford) – Several Avon residents have been named AP Scholars by the College Board. John Connors, IV ’14 and Connor Dunn ’14 are among the 42 students from Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford to be named AP Scholars. Grace Kunkel ’13 and Mary Royer ’13 were named AP Scholars with Honor.

Students must earn scores of 3 or higher on three or more Advanced Placement Exams to be named an AP Scholar. To be designated an AP Scholar with Honor, students must earn an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and a score of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams.

Since 1961, Northwest Catholic’s mission has been to educate the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and soul. Enrollment for the Class of ’18 is now under way, and prospective students are invited to the Open House at Northwest Catholic on November 3, 2013. For more information, contact Andrew Selig (860-236-4221, x140 or aselig@nwcath.org).
