James Speich is proud to be a resident of the Town of Avon and values the quality of life Avon provides. As a member of the Board of Finance since 2000, it has been clear to him that this quality of life is linked to a financial burden. James will continue to evaluate budget requests against the ability of the residents to afford the tax burden, be diligent in gaining justification for expenditures and search out ways to reduce costs. These are challenging times. We need to continue to work together as a fiscally sound community to maintain Avon as a desirable place to live, work and play.
James as a 35 Year Avon Resident has been a Board of Finance member since 2000 and a previous member of Inland Wetlands Commission, Water Pollution Control Authority and Town Council Representative to the Avon Volunteer Fire Department. He has also been a member of Avon Volunteer Fire Department since 1982, a previous Corporation President, Captain and Lieutenant of Company Four. James is a Director of Marketing for Pratt and Whitney Commercial Engines, with an MBA from Boston University, BSME from the University of Hartford, and AAS, from the State University of New York at Alfred.
