Up until Thursday, the Avon Better Bedding sign was up despite the fact that the store name was changed to reflect it's parent company, Sleepy's.
However, the Better Bedding sign was replaced with a Sleepy's one just after 1 p.m. that day.
Ironically, the mattress chain is located across from Connecticut Mattress, which is owned by Tom Wholley whose family used to own Better Bedding.
Wholley previously said the name change from Better Bedding to Sleepy's might help eliminate confusion that his family is still associated with Better Bedding. For this reason, he said, "I’m happy that the Better Bedding name will go away."
