Avon Business Buzz: Avon's The Elephant Trail Plans to Move; Michele Welcome-Pellegatto Launches Healthy Grocery List at ShopRite

An Avon gym owner announced her new healthy grocery shopping list this week and a popular Thai restaurant recently reviewed by the New York Times plans on moving.

Here's the latest news in the Avon business scene. 

  • The Elephant Trail in Avon plans to move into a new location by the end of the summer, according to its Facebook page. The restaurant has a sister location in West Hartford called the Blue Elephant Trail, which offers Sunday brunch. The New York Times recently reviewed The Elephant Trail
  • Avon Snap Fitness owner Michele Welcome-Pellegatto, of Canton, is on a mission to show people how they can eat healthily in their local restaurants make nutritious choices when shopping at area food businesses. Most recently, Welcome-Pellegatto has put Michele-Approved tags to identify her recommendations for healthy foods at ShopRite in Canton. Welcome-Pellegatto said you can get the "categorized" custom grocery list in the store and look for her "approved healthy proteins, starches, fruits, veggies, spices, super foods, and more!" ShopRite is located in The Shoppes at Farmington Valley at 110 Albany Turnpike (Route 44).
