Canton's Joe Pizza Offers Fresh Look, Delivery Option

Owners say restaurant committed to community, building on reputation.

CANTON – With a refurbished look at its restaurant and home delivery now available, is looking to enhance the customer experience and more.

“We just wanted to spruce it up and give it a new look,” said Chris Giotsas, who owns the business with Ron Nese.

Earlier this year, the owners completely refurbished the interior of their Canton location. The tables, seating, carpet lighting — everything — is new.

More recently, the restaurant began providing another service many had requested.

“We’re a great new option for delivery in the area,” said general manager Adam Wilkey.

Delivery is available any time the restaurant is open, from 11:30 a.m. daily until 9 on weekdays and 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.  Delivery is always available to Simsbury, Canton and Avon and part of Burlington and Granby. Depending on how busy the restaurant is, it can sometimes deliver to portions of New Hartford as well.

Joe Pizza has been in Canton since 2003 and opened a Simsbury location a couple years ago. Despite its name, the restaurant offers much more than pizza and has become known for its burgers, made of beef ground fresh daily.

The restaurant also offers grinders, pizza, pasta, “the best Philly Cheese steak in the state,” and more, Wilkey said.

And with the new changes, the owners hope people will be compelled to keep coming, choose its offerings more frequently or give them a try.

“Over the years we’ve gained a following and we want to build on that,” Wilkey said.
