AVON – The Avon Community Center will be transformed into an Italian ristorante on Saturday, Feb. 25 for the Rotary Club of Avon-Canton’s fourth annual Tastes of the Valley. This year’s theme for the fundraising event, which runs from 7 to 10 p.m., is Festival Italiana.
Samplings from some of the best restaurants in the Farmington Valley will be offered along with Italian wines and beers provided through M&R Fine Wines and Liquors.

Food samples will be donated and served by Abigail’s Grille and Wine Bar in Simsbury; Carmen Anthony Fishhouse in Avon; daCapo Ristorante Italiano in Avon; DISH ‘n Dat in Canton; and LaTrattoria Restaurant in Canton. The Meat House in Avon will also provide tastings, and gourmet cheeses from CABOT® Cheese of Vermont will be offered. A Gelato Bar and desserts from J. Foster’s Ice Cream in Avon and Simsbury, and coffees from The Coffee Trade in Avon, will round out the samplings.

In addition to tastings, the event includes an auction aimed at raising additional funds for Rotary charities. A wide variety of items donated by local, regional and national companies will be presented for bid.
