Miller Foods hosts Turkey Chili Dinner for veterans
AVON – Local veterans are welcome to attend a Veterans Day “Thanks for Giving” dinner at Miller Foods Friday, Nov. 11 that will be the kick-off to a series of community appreciation events.
From 4 to 7 p.m., dinner will be served featuring turkey chili made by volunteer firefighters with turkey donated by Miller Foods. Harvey Reeser of the Avon Volunteer Fire Department is coordinating the effort.
Hot dogs and cornbread are also on the dinner menu, and J. Foster’s ice cream shop will provide the dessert. Teens from the Rotary Club of Avon-Canton’s Interact Club will serve the veterans.
