"Toss the Dough" for the Avon Volunteer Fire Department

Come “Toss the Dough” for the Avon Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD) from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the Colony Grill located in Nod Brook Mall on West Main Street in Avon.  Pizzas and salads will be served by AVFD members. And, while the restaurant doesn’t actually toss the dough used to make the pizzas it cooks and serves, the hope is that hungry diners will stop by for some good eats and toss some of their own dough toward the AVFD.

Only by supplementing the budget it receives from the Town can the AVFD remain a volunteer department.  Colony Grill will also donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds to the Department.

The event will feature live music (details of band to follow), drawings for $25 Colony Grill gift cards every hour, and fire hose target shooting.  Additional event features may be added – check the AVFD website www.avonvfd.org and Facebook page (AvonVFD) for updates.
