Hessian Lion Aiming to Reopen Saturday Night

The windows have been dark for awhile, but a message on the company's Facebook clarified for its patrons. Shakedown is the band slotted to play on Oct. 20.

For most of September and October, it has been dark at Hessian Lion in Avon.

That left many locals wondering if the Route 44 bar had closed its doors.

But a Facebook message posted on Hessian Lion's page Oct. 8 says otherwise.
