Little Red Former Barbershop by Hessian Lion for Sale

What type of business do you think should go here? Post your ideas in the comment section!

Even though it's small, it's hard not to notice the little red building next to .

The former Ye Olde Barber Shoppe, located at 12 East Main St., is owned by the Zumbroski family and is for sale.

The building was established in 1820 and the Zumbroskis bought the property in 1966, according to town property assessment records.

It has a wooden frame and asphault shingles.

What type of business would you like to see there? Should the next business owner preserve it as a barber shop or should something else move in?

Since I have long wished to return Avon to 1960's when I moved here, I want it to remain a barbershop. Ah, the good old days! I want to bring my kids to Dr. Candels again, shop at Pettite's and Caldor and eat at Howard Johnson's. I could go on and on. It really was a wonderful place to live.

I think any business moving in there should be concerned about parking and traffic in and out of that space. Busy area!

It should be a parking lot for the Hessian Lion!
