Locally Made: Avon's The Coffee Trade Roasts Own Coffee On-Site

The Coffee Trade in Avon produces 80 different blends of locally roasted coffee.

Avon's own coffee roaster, The Coffee Trade, has been pouring some of the freshest cups of coffee in the Farmington Valley since 1989.

Joan and Dick Portfolio bought the locally-owned business in 1995 and have been roasting 80 different blends of coffee ever since. The retail store offers roasted coffees by the pound, teas, brewed coffee and espresso beverages, antiques, and gifts.

For more information about The Coffee Trade, visit the Patch Directory listing. The coffee shop, which couples as an antiques store, is located on Route 44 at 21 West Main St.
