Miller Foods Wins Hartford Business Journal Award

The Hartford Business Journal recently gave Avon business Miller Foods first prize in its category in the the first annual Connecticut Family Business Awards.

Miller Foods, a food company known for its Turkease and other Thanksgiving eats, was recognized as the top business in the category for companies that employ less than 25 employees. The family also sells dog food through its Oma's Pride brand.

"All of us at Miller Foods, home of the Turkease, Oma's Pride, O'Paws and Paws Pride, are extremely grateful and humbled by this award from our peers in the business community," Sandi Trudeau, president of Miller Foods, Inc., said in a statement. "Family businesses of all types give family members an opportunity to stay closer and for the business to continue for generations. I want to thank the judges, the sponsors and the Hartford Business Journal for the award."
