Patch Tips: Easy Miller Foods Pie Recipe

Avon's Cal Miller-Stevens demonstrates in this video how to make your own pie by adding leftover ingredients from around the house to this pre-made pie. What is your favorite fall or Thanksgiving dessert?

Does mama's savory homemade apple pie look too complicated for your upcoming fall shindig?

Cal Miller-Stevens, co-owner of Miller Foods and Oma's Pride in Avon, has a way you can bake without the headache and still impress your guests with your creation.

Starting with a pre-made Miller Foods pie, she said you can add fruits, jams and even sweet potatoes you have left over in your kitchen to the filling to give it your own flavor. Don't forget to sprinkle some brown sugar on top and, like Julia Childs would do, add butter. Then Miller-Stevens said you can scatter the crust top onto the pie and coat it with an egg wash before putting it in the oven.
