Readers' Choice Poll: Favorite Liquor Store

Where will you stock up on wine, beer and spirits for Memorial Day weekend and summer days?

Something was different on Sunday. Grocery store shelves stocked with beer weren't covered and liquor stores were open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Connecticut has long had blue laws barring Sunday liquor sales, but . That leaves Indiana as the only state left in the country that prohibits the sale of alcohol on Sunday.

Whether or not people went to a liquor store on Sunday (or plan to in the future), most of us have a favorite spot for stocking up on beer, wine and spirits for those summer barbecues and outdoor parties. With Memorial Day coming up, you will be able to run to liquor stores on Sunday for last-minute purchases in preparation for cookouts with friends and family on your day off.

Which liquor store is your favorite? Where do you go for the best advice, the best prices and the friendliest service?

We have included suggestions of Farmington Valley liquor stores.  If one of your favorites isn't on the list, let us know in the comments!

Agree with you, Gary is a pleasure to work with and has made many solid wine recommedations. He is very good about locating a particular wine and enjoys hearing suggestions from customers.
