Land Leased to Mobil Station Sold for Over $1 Million

The following information for real estate sales for Oct. 10-14, 2011 was provided by the Avon Town Clerk's Office and is public record.

The land where the Avon Mobil gas station on the corner of Route 44 and West Avon Road is located was sold by Andrews 411 Realty, LLC to GAS Development Avon, LLC for over $1 million last Friday, however, the gas station will continue to operate as per usual.

The property transfer reflects a title change, not a management change and Exxon Mobil will still be the gas distributor.

Exxon Mobil sold many of its "real estate interests for 89 Mobil-branded retail stations" to Alliance Energy, LLC in October 2010, including the Avon locaiton, according to an announcement on Alliance Energy's website. Alliance Energy will now be leasing the property from GAS Development Avon, LLC.
