Southwest Jet Damaged at Bradley; Flight Rescheduled

Southwest 737 damaged by catering truck; flight to Nashville delayed

A Southwest Airlines flight from Bradley International Airport to Nashville was canceled Thursday morning when the plane was damaged near the departure gate around 8:30 a.m.

Jack Chmura, airport operations specialist, said a catering truck maneuvering under a wing of the plane caused "minor, minor damage." Another plane has to be used for the flight, Chmura said.

The plane had been parked at the airport overnight. No passengers were onboard when the damage occurred, Chmura said.
