What's Open, Closed on New Year's Eve and Day?

Some Avon establishments will have shortened hours and others will be closed for the holiday.

While some Avon businesses and establishments will be open on New Year's Eve with adjusted hours, others will be closed for New Year's Day.

NEW YEAR'S EVE

Open

  • Most post offices will close at noon on New Year's Eve, but mail delivery will continue as usual, according to the U.S. Postal Service's website
  • Avon Free Public Library is open 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Town Hall will close at 12:30 p.m.
  • Lime Bar & Grill is accepting reservations for New Year's Eve.
  • Big Y is open until 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve, according to its website.
  • Liquor stores can are allowed to be open on New Year's Eve. Avon liquor stores include Avon Wine & Spirits, Welcome Wine and Liquor, Cheers 2 U, Super Cellar Warehouse Liquors and M&R Liquors.
