ELAINE ST. PETER JOINS SAINT FRANCIS AS MEDIA RELATIONS MANAGER

Elaine St. Peter, of Avon, has joined Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center as Media Relations Manager.

St. Peter brings over 25 years of media experience to this role. She comes to Saint Francis from the American Red Cross Connecticut Blood Services Region – Northeast Division, where she was Communications Program Manager/Corporate Affairs/Public Relations Specialist for the past six years, responsible for an 11-state region.

 “Both a strategist and experienced tactician, Elaine brings very strong writing skills and established relationships with local media outlets to the role,” said Jim Schepker, Senior Vice President, Marketing, at Saint Francis. “She will be an asset to the Hospital and our efforts to promote the world-class care that truly distinguishes Saint Francis.”

In her new position, St. Peter will be responsible for developing television, radio, print and social media coverage of Hospital-related events, programs and services. She will also recommend media strategies and tactics related to the launch of new programs, facilities and technologies at Saint Francis.

St. Peter has served major TV networks in both Manhattan and Miami, rising through the ranks as a researcher, then assignment editor, then assignment manager, and finally as executive producer.  Along the way she earned two Emmy awards for coverage of the World Trade Center bombing and for an investigative reporting series.
