Harry’s Bishops Corner adds paninis to menu

WEST HARTFORD – Harry’s Bishops Corner, known for its award-winning pizza, has added Italian-style panini sandwiches to its menu.

After much consideration, owners Kevin and Anne Plaut decided that paninis would be an excellent alternative to their popular Neapolitan style pizza and would provide additional options for their customers. It was a simple and natural way to expand the menu and still maintain their passion for exceptional pizza and unique specialty pies.

The paninis also offer an opportunity to expand HBC’s already growing catering business by offering a larger selection.

“We’re hoping that by adding paninis to the menu, we will appeal to more local businesses for their corporate luncheons, meetings and events,” Kevin Plaut said.

Harry’s BC also offers a nice variety of fresh salads in catering size portions with the option of grilled chicken, another popular choice for large orders.

HBC will use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients for the paninis, which are made to order using their own asiago focaccia, baked daily. The panini selection includes a Grilled & Roasted Veggie, Roasted Tomato & Arugula, Chicken Caesar, Italian Cold Cut, and Turkey and Smoked Bacon. All panini sandwiches can be heated or served cold.

The ingredients used complement each other well, creating great flavors, the owners said. For example, the Roasted Tomato & Arugula brings together roasted tomatoes, smoked mozzarella, roasted red pepper, arugula and a drizzle of HBC’s traditional vinaigrette. Boar’s Head premium meats are used on the Italian Cold Cut and Turkey and Bacon paninis. Boar’s Heads meats are all natural, gluten free and preservative free.

All paninis are available for dine-in, take-out and catering. Visit www.harrysbc.com for a complete menu and detailed descriptions of the new paninis.
