SAINT FRANCIS NAMES CAROL KARDAS DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center has named Carol Kardas, a resident of Avon, Director, Human Resources Operations.

            In this new role, Kardas will be responsible for directing the compensation, benefits, labor relations, call center, human resource services, compliance and the human resource information systems departments to maintain quality customer service throughout the organization.

            “Carol is a proven innovative human resources professional who is skilled at aligning the human resource vision and strategy to achieve objectives,” said Dawn Bryant, Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer.

            Kardas is the founding partner of KardasLarson, LLC, Human Resource Solutions, a company she co-created in 2004. The firm, based in Avon, provides human resource consulting to clients in the healthcare, sales, entertainment, manufacturing, financial services and real estate industries. She has more than 25 years of experience in the human resources sector.

            Kardas received her Masters of Science in Human Resources from Villanova University, Philadephia, PA; and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Fordham/Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY. She is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); and a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP). Kardas also holds a Certificate in Advanced Employee Relations Law.

            Kardas has served as Strategic Planning and District Director State of Connecticut, for the Society for Human Resource Management. She is a national member of the American Compensation Association, World at Work; and a past president of the Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut.

            Kardas is an adjunct professor at Saint Joseph’s University, Hartford.
