SIMSBURY BANK CELEBRATES RELOCATION OF NEW HEADQUARTERS WITH RIBBON CUTTING

SIMSBURY, CT – October 21, 2013 To celebrate their new administrative headquarters, Simsbury Bank held an official ribbon cutting ceremony while hosting the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event on October 9, 2013. Employees, political dignitaries, and Simsbury Chamber of Commerce members were in attendance. During the summer, the bank’s corporate offices moved from 760 Hopmeadow Street to a more modern and spacious home at 86 Hopmeadow Street in order to accommodate the substantial growth in staff required to meet the needs of its rapidly expanding customer base.

86 Hopmeadow is the fourth building to serve as Simsbury Bank’s administrative headquarters since opening in 1995. The Bank’s commitment to local loan decision making and respectful customer service has been rewarded with consistent customer growth.  The Bank’s Board of Directors is proud that the Bank has fulfilled this mission through the “Great Recession” and looks forward to continuing to serve businesses and households throughout Central Connecticut and beyond for many years to come.  Board members joining in the festivities included Robert Bogino, Chairman, James Fleming, Gary Kevorkian, Jerry Long, Nick Mason, Michael Nicastro, George Odlum, David Sessions, Vice Chairman, and Penny Woodford.

Over 100 attendees were present at the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Simsbury Chamber Ambassador and Vice President Ron Locandro welcomed the guests to the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Martin Geitz, President and CEO of Simsbury Bank, and Robert Bogino warmly thanked guests for attending and for their support of the Bank.  Building owner Mark Greenberg was pleased to acknowledge Simsbury Bank as a new tenant. First Selectman Mary Glassman and State Representative John Hampton joined in welcoming the Bank to its new headquarters and recognized it for its long history of support of Town economic development projects, the many not-for-profit organizations that enrich Simsbury’s quality of life, and the many businesses and families it serves.
