Small business drives the economy. As you know, the business climate in Connecticut is challenging and small business must constantly adapt to a changing environment to survive. There is an upside……small family business has a HUGE advantage- the decision making process can be mainstreamed and new ideas can be implemented quickly.

Through the years, my family has always found ways to reinvent our business. Despite all the changes, there is one thing that has remained the same- FAMILY. I am fortunate because I get the chance to combine both family and business. Family business in unique and as third generation business owners of Miller Foods, my cousins and I are constantly brainstorming about ways to improve our existing business, share our land and create a stronger community. 

I have great news to share for those who want to experience community in a whole new way. MILLER MARKETPLACE is the newest venture for Miller Foods. The Miller Turkey Farm on Arch Road is about to transform into a market place on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am thru 1:00 pm starting September 15th thru October 27th for all to share and experience community with local farmers and artisans. Because we love dogs and cats, there will be a special section for pet lovers who want to use locally made products.

Change is inevitable- embrace it and let it become the inspiration for your next BIG IDEA. My cousins, Camlyn and Tanner, and I are really looking forward to introducing a new way to experience community!
