The new 2014 Lexus IS just arrived at Hoffman Lexus this week, and she’s lighting up the showroom! This car makes a statement, and she’s saying “I want to be noticed!”
The 2014 Lexus IS is equipped with state of the art technology, including a sliding display on the dash that lets you keep track of your speed as well as what’s playing on your iPod, all while keeping your eyes centered straight ahead for safety.
Jalopnik.com calls the entire overhaul of the 2014 Lexus IS “mad fierce, y’all,” and DrivenCT agrees. They also said, “It’s a car that’s better than its predecessor in every conceivable way, and one that I enjoyed driving a lot more than I thought I would. The IS is no longer an also-ran in the luxury sport game.”
This is a sport sedan with a powerful V6 engine, available with six- or eight-speed automatic transmissions.
The new IS is a departure from what you might expect from a Lexus sedan, featuring beautiful graphite finishes on the interior, heated and cooled seats with bolsters that that mold to your body to keep you snug in the turns, and a sport- tuned suspension for great “road feel.”
In fact, Edmunds.com reviews the 2014 Lexus IS as having “class-leading build quality and benchmark steering feel… the driver’s feel of the car through the steering wheel is now one of the best in this segment.”

The 2014 Lexus IS cockpit is comfortable and high-tech, with Lexus Enform technology available to connect your smartphone apps. The available nav system has enhanced 3-D map displays. Temperature controls are touch-based so a swipe of the finger is all it takes to cool down or heat up.
Safety features on the 2014 Lexus ISare state of the art. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, and a lane departure alert system are just some of its benefits. Then there’s the airbag system, which is so advanced there’s even an airbag to protect driver and passenger legs up to the knee.The redesign included lengthening the wheelbase of the IS, creating 3 inches more rear legroom and also a better, more stable ride.
But maybe our favorite feature on this gorgeous sport sedan is the spindle grille and it’s incredibly sporty lines. The car’s wider, longer stance is punctuated by a low front end highlighted with bold daytime running lights that give this sport sedan beautiful pizzazz.
