Avon Churches Offer Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday Worship Services

Avon churches are offering worship services and festivities on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday.

If you are looking to attend Mass, here are some local services for the holiday weekend.

Holy Saturday (March 30)

Find out what's happening in Avonwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

  • Church of Saint Ann: morning prayer at 9 a.m., Blessing of the Food at noon and Easter vigil at 8 p.m.

Easter Sunday (March 31)

  • Church of Saint Ann: special Easter services at 7:30, 8:45, 10 and 11:30 a.m.
  • St. Matthew Lutheran Church: Easter Sunday Festival Eucharist at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m.
  • Avon Congregational Church: Easter service at 10 a.m. (children are invited to come with their families), includes special music.
  • West Avon Congregational Church, 280 Country Club Rd., Avon: sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., family worship services at 9 and 11 a.m. (fellowship and hot cross buns are scheduled between services), Easter egg hunts will take place after each service.   • Memorial United Methodist Church: Easter Sunday worship at 8:30 a.m., breakfast in Fellowship Hall at 9:30 a.m., Easter lilies arrive at 10 a.m., Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m., family worship at 10:30 a.m.
